To show students and teachers of the study 'Integrated Security' at Avans in Den Bosch, The Netherlands I created a thing. This intercepted any traffic that went over it's WiFi network and displayed any found passwords and usernames on a large screen.

For our local football club we first developed a basic Magento environment. Mostly because the people who managed the clothing needed a system to keep their stock up-to-date, etc. After that, we decided to add a webshop to the environment, so we actually enabled the frontend of the webshop.

We already had a website, running on a custom CMS framework. The problem was, that this framework was outdated and we weren't able to upgrade this anymore. Since we're both experienced Magento developers, we started thinking of merging the website and webshop together, so we could manage everything in one system.

At this moment, the Magento installation contains a webshop, a stock management system, narrowcasting and a website. The narrowcasting is used to display information, like rankings, results and fixtures within the clubhouse. All the results are live updated, based on the official API of the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB). This means that shortly after a match has ended, it will be updated on the screens.

The website also shows this information and uses the same API integration. Also, since a football club has a lot of teams, with a lot of people in those teams, we decided to make it possible to get access for an account to one specific team page. This means that this person can update team information like staff, players, etc. and could also add information to any match his/her team plays, together with adding a Facebook Photo Album.

The project is still in development, with new features being added on a regular basis.

Together with Peter Jaap Blaakmeer and Wouter Steenmeijer we've been (and are still) working on a Magento 1 extension for Aftership. Aftership is a service that makes it possible to get an overview of all shipments you do from your webshop to their service.

Aftership supports almost 400 carriers. When a shipment is created in Magento, the shipment will automatically be send to Aftership. Every status update by the carrier is added to Aftership, which will then also be available for the customers in Magento. Also, status updates can be mailed from Magento, using your own email templates and content.

During the Magento 2 Seminar in October 2016, I gave a talk about the default SEO features that are available in Magento 2. It was meant for merchants that are considering switching to Magento 2, but need more information about the SEO possibilities within Magento 2.

At the Magento 2 Seminar in Utrecht, Netherlands in January 2016, I did a talk about frontend development in Magento 2. I covered the basics of both RequireJS and LESS. Unfortunately the talks where to short to get into detail and also to cover both KnockoutJS and Grunt.

During #MM15ES I did a talk about how to implement rich snippets into your webshop, with just some small tweaks to your templates and without using extensions.

E-Commerce is steadily conquering the retail world. But how secure are current webshops? Why and how are they attacked? And how can the industry as a whole provide better defence. This talk will guide you through these questions and try to answer them.

At the first Magento Unconference in The Netherlands I talked about opensource marketing automation with Mautic.

Obelink 3 months ago

Obelink is a Magento 2 webshop in its very early stages, though the backend integrations are already moving to a high complexity ones. Connection with Magement, Akeneo and RetailVista are only few of the many ones that are about to come.

What People Are Saying

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the cost?

We charge a percentage of referred projects (or full time hires). In the case of projects we'll charge the company being hired, and in the case of recruiting we'll likely charge the hiring company.

What markets is this available in?

We will be initially targeting North America and major European markets. We will eventually get to other markets as well. This will simplify a number of factors for us including quality.

Is this going to be a race to the bottom like other marketplaces?

Nope - in fact we won't even allow developers to charge fees that are lower than what we consider reasonable for quality Magento development work. This service is all about quality.

What if we want to hire someone locally?

While we would greatly encourage all hiring companies to consider remote developers, we will also be offering some support for hiring locally as well, including outreach to specific markets.
