Quality Developers

If you've used other marketplaces in the past, you've likely run across developers that weren't very good. At Commerce Hero, we vet all Magento developers personally.

Transparent Pricing

Our developers aren't cheap, but you can see right up front what their rates are. Why go through a song and dance with a sales person just to find out what their rates are?

See Availability

If you've worked with freelancers in the past, you know their availability is subject to change. We eliminate the uncertainty by showing you their availability at a glance.

Skills

Magento is a complex system, and even the strongest Magento developers have areas of specialty. Find developers with experience in the specific areas you need.

Search

Drill down to find exactly the developer you need. Search by location to find a developer in your area. You can also search by skill set, their rates, reviews, and more.

Free

The price is right, at no cost to you, the hiring company. We charge developers a small percentage of projects that are booked through Commerce Hero.

Magento 2 is not just a next version of Magento 1, it is a completely new framework. It introduces a bunch of new libraries and approaches, more opportunities to implement functionality better. This course covers things that each Magento 2 developer should know and apply in addition to just functionality implementation. The course starts with explaining how to get the most value of automated tests provided by Magento out of the box and how to cover your implementation with an appropriate type of test, to ensure a high level of quality.

Then you’ll learn about Magento 2 indexers, cache types and cron jobs. Keeping the cache and indexers utilised will ensure high website performance while organising cron jobs and moving some operations to asynchronous can help to improve performance even more.

Finally, the third section of the course is dedicated to migration from Magento 1 covering the usage of code and data migration tools.

DinoPC 1 month ago

DinoPC offer high performance, heavily customisable Gaming PC's and approached Absolute Commerce to build them a new website in Magento 2. We migrated their existing non-Magento website to Magento 2 and developed a bespoke custom product type to power their PC configurator.

Client had given PSD to convert into Magento2 Theme and we have developed it as per client instruction. You can check URL for review.

In this project I did the whole PDP, I also did the first import of almost 1M products. I also did the mechanism that calculates the prices of all the possible products configurations using prices returned by a web service.

Last year, Magento 2.0 was launched which brought lot of improvements in the platform. Apart from other benefits, the three main improvements of the new Magento 2 platform are:

  • Better Page Speed

  • Better Checkout Process

  • Better Code Base

Our Magento experts have already upgraded many stores to this latest 2.x version and have also developed many Magento 2 extensions. So, if you are still using old Magento 1.x for your store

Technology evolves with time and it is important to keep your business up-to-date with the latest technology. Magento is one of the biggest ecommerce platforms in the world and it is growing rapidly with the release of Magento v2.

With the new release of v2 and the restricted support for Magento v1, it is important to start thinking about migrating your site sooner than later.

Presentation given on using Magento's data migration tool to migrate customer, catalogue, and sales data from a Magento 1 store to a Magento 2 store.

The site (Magento 1 to Magento 2 migration) was supposedly completed by another developer, but it turned out that literally nothing worked on the website: checkout, product issues, module errors, etc. I removed numerous unused modules, re-installed modules (Wordpress, Shipworks, Onestepcheckout), fixed Magento 2 core bugs, and fixed M1 to M2 migration database issues. I also fixed the header and navigation bar on the checkout page (Onestepscheck module did not include it).

Magento 2 cache Warmer 2 months ago

Magewares Cache warmer/crawler feature provides your website with the fastest loading time of all pages. When the crawler is enabled you refresh main and old cached pages and bring all customers the most relevant content every second at fastest speed

It also helps to improve cache hit rate of a website – the ratio of cached and uncached requests. Sites with the higher hit rate are always faster (combined with a fast cache solution, of course).

Nightmare project! Client used a different developer to "get ahead of the curve" by developing a new site on Magento 2 Beta platform. When Magento 2 finally went "stable" I was required to "upgrade" the beta.

A custom designed Magento 2 store with several unique products and their attributes. We've migrated the entire database from M1 to M2 and designed new templates and theme to integrate with fresh M2 setup. We've also programmed the set of complete new functionalities or the website..

The project was migrated from Magento1 to Magento2 with full compability to all the plugins and extension. The project is a community driven platform with lots of packages and subscription. Includes recurring payments and custom reports developments.

What's the cost?

We charge a percentage of referred projects (or full time hires). In the case of projects we'll charge the company being hired, and in the case of recruiting we'll likely charge the hiring company.

What markets is this available in?

We will be initially targeting North America and major European markets. We will eventually get to other markets as well. This will simplify a number of factors for us including quality.

Is this going to be a race to the bottom like other marketplaces?

Nope - in fact we won't even allow developers to charge fees that are lower than what we consider reasonable for quality Magento development work. This service is all about quality.

What if we want to hire someone locally?

While we would greatly encourage all hiring companies to consider remote developers, we will also be offering some support for hiring locally as well, including outreach to specific markets.
