LabSource was a interesting project due to complex data migration involved to successfully transition to Magento. All product, customer and order data initially existed in a legacy database which required deep analysis, custom parsing and manipulation to even begin the migration. Product data was especially challenging because product attributes existed solely in raw HTML which required highly customized scripts with complex logic to filter out invalid data and convert descriptive data into workable formats.

The project included both front-end and back-end development improvements, bug fixes and close collaboration with the client to ensure each requirement was fulfilled precisely.
With the main competitor to Brighton being Pandora Jewelry, the customization and development of features was pushed above and beyond the capabilities of OOTB Magento features and any 3rd party extensions. As Brighton was transitioning from Torrey Commerce to Magento, initially both systems were integrated to allow for a seamless experience without ever breaking the immersion.
In addition, continuos user experience from desktop to mobile to physical retail integration was key. In order to achieve such transition, a completely custom Magento catalog was built from scratch to allow customers to browse the entire catalog and build custom jewelry when shopping at any one of the retail locations all the while interacting with Magento behind the scenes.
