In The Netherlands we have 12 meetup groups (one for each province). It started in 2013 in Amsterdam and we have now organized over 60 meetups accross the country covering many topics like SEO, E-mail marketing, Extensions, Payment providers, New Relic, MageFlow, Hosting etc. etc.
Together with Peter Jaap Blaakmeer and Wouter Steenmeijer we've been (and are still) working on a Magento 1 extension for Aftership. Aftership is a service that makes it possible to get an overview of all shipments you do from your webshop to their service.
Aftership supports almost 400 carriers. When a shipment is created in Magento, the shipment will automatically be send to Aftership. Every status update by the carrier is added to Aftership, which will then also be available for the customers in Magento. Also, status updates can be mailed from Magento, using your own email templates and content.
