I led the Gardner Magento 2 Commerce implementation. We built a site to handle 1.8M+ SKUs across Gardner's 30+ B2C and B2B websites. They needed a platform that could power B2B and B2C selling equally well, be seamlessly integrated with their niche ERP system, and was flexible enough to handle unique requirements for their 30+ different websites. This project was selected as an Imagine 2019 Excellence Award Finalist for the "Best Hybrid B2B/B2C Implementation" category (https://magento.com/blog/events/2019-imagine-excellence-awards-finalists-announced)

Recommendation from Gardner's CTO, Matt Davis:

"I've had the opportunity to work with Erik over the past year on a substantial project to consolidate several web platforms on to Magento 2. The final product consists of over 30 independent sites with 1.5M+ products, servicing both B2B and B2C markets. While Erik's command of the technical and organizational aspects of the project were excellent and critical to its success, his ability to uncover and understand the nuances of our business, and then deliver those technically are what makes his combination of skills unique. We greatly appreciate his attention to detail and temperament as well. He brings great energy to every meeting and planning session. It's been a pleasure working with him and we look forward to his ongoing guidance and support."

I worked with Show Me Cables to build an interactive Cable Builder that allows their customers to visualize and order custom cables. This project was chosen to be a part of Magento's Innovation Lab: https://magento.com/innovations-lab/cable-builder

Recommendation from Show Me Cable's CTO, Rick Seavey:

"I've had the privilege to work with Erik for the past 2 ½ years, as he implemented and then helped maintain our Magento eCommerce site. Erik is very technical with the skills to lead large projects, but has strong business skills as well to help us make the best decision for the company. He is a pleasure to work with as he never gets too up or down, even when we may be pressuring him a bit."

If you've used other marketplaces in the past, you've likely run across developers that weren't very good. At Commerce Hero, we vet all Magento developers personally.

What People Are Saying

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the cost?

We charge a percentage of referred projects (or full time hires). In the case of projects we'll charge the company being hired, and in the case of recruiting we'll likely charge the hiring company.

What markets is this available in?

We will be initially targeting North America and major European markets. We will eventually get to other markets as well. This will simplify a number of factors for us including quality.

Is this going to be a race to the bottom like other marketplaces?

Nope - in fact we won't even allow developers to charge fees that are lower than what we consider reasonable for quality Magento development work. This service is all about quality.

What if we want to hire someone locally?

While we would greatly encourage all hiring companies to consider remote developers, we will also be offering some support for hiring locally as well, including outreach to specific markets.
