Design Lead

Working with this company is everything but ordinary. Starting as a contracted consultant and designer and ending up being in-house ecommerce lead in just one year was a personal challenge to overcome. Managing the design and development teams and processes to run smoothly is a challenge of itself. Add on top of that product design that includes digital business analysis & strategy and SEO / SEM / SERP and data powered decision making process with team coordination through kanban methodology and designing the solutions itself. I've managed multiple data sets from Emarsys, Klevu, Analytics, SEMRush, Search Console, HotJar, Yotpo and created plans of action based on customer groups, segments and their behavioural model. Challenges are welcome and managing people, processes, products and services are sort of thing that pushes my limits.

Transforming a supermarket to mobile device is not an easy task. From specifications, documentation, managing clients expectations to leading distributed developer teams, project exceeded expectation set for it.

With the launch of native application for clients store, metrics from mobile devices started to break charts. iOS customers especially adopted new mobile first design. And to engage them further - we provided them with native iOS application that later proved to be a huge success! Within just 2 years, iOS application customers have climbed on the top of acquisition channel. Having real time notifications about services and products, constant access to customer through mobile applications, making promotions became even easier - all thanks to API we built that was later used to power up native Android applications as well.

Mastercard vendor company offers piloting services and product design to renowned brands and new and upcoming startups. Utilising design thinking methodology through design sprints as a meaning of validating concepts and prototypes as a Design Director, I'm able to steer the wheel of product that is being built to provide necessary guidance and to help bring the project to life and evolve it through all stages of its existence. Working with high profile clients such as Mastercard and banks around the world to help them bring their vision alive is just part of the work that I was doing at vendor company.

Designing at Inchoo meant to wrap the head around clients business; meant to get to know the customers of each specific project, analyse current customer behaviour, their flow patterns, predict the customer trends based on shopping seasons and continuously following the lifespan of the store, constantly analysing, measuring and evolving the store through combination of raw analytics data, heatmaps and best usability practices.

Being team leader at Inchoo proved to be quite a challenge; from consolidating design processes, establishing design workflow and hand-off, mentoring young talents, leading a projects, speaking at conferences, writing, analysing business processes, participating in company strategy, improving current clients' business via continuous testing and, finally, designing user experiences for that next online store.
