LabSource was a interesting project due to complex data migration involved to successfully transition to Magento. All product, customer and order data initially existed in a legacy database which required deep analysis, custom parsing and manipulation to even begin the migration. Product data was especially challenging because product attributes existed solely in raw HTML which required highly customized scripts with complex logic to filter out invalid data and convert descriptive data into workable formats.
Performed technical discovery and assisted with the bid on the initial project with the sales team. Worked on tearing down the re-platform requirements and integrations to properly scope out the migration process. Helped put together technical estimates and architected the data migration of the catalog, customers and orders. Scoped out Think integration among other components as part of the initial business requirements of the re-platform.
In collaboration with our Guidance front-end dev team we've built out a clean, modern, full-width, responsive theme based on the wireframes and PSD files created by the Guidance UX/UI team. In order to make the content management flexible and easy, a number of custom Magento widgets have been developed to enable point-and-click generation of content while conforming to the new theme.
Redesigned and developed custom functionality for The Synergy Company. Our work included: Working with internal print designers to redesign and make a responsive website. Updating product pages to highlight subscription options. Creating custom functionality for product ingredients and certifications. Integrating WordPress and Magento for a user experience. Proving training and consulting as the client needed to ensure a beautiful and functional new website.
The website went through an epic upgrade saga in accordance with Magento evolution from its old Magento EE 1.1 version to Magento CE 1.6 to the latest Magento CE 18.104.22.168 providing merchants with quality improvements and security enhancements. We helped KWA to become EDI compliant, thus enabling business transactions to flow faster. The website was integrated with accounting software system MAS500, which made it possible to seamlessly synchronize mission-critical data from the online store directly to the accounting system. We also integrated remote warehouse automation tool to manage all aspects of order fulfillment processes. We rolled out POS, thereby enabling KWA offline stores to merge into Magento ecosystem and building the omnichannel experience for the brand. We integrated and configured email marketing automation software designed to personalize and automate interactions with customers across any channel as well as track and reactivate lapsed customers.
