Split Order functionality splits an order with the same reference but with different order IDs. Split Order is the much-needed feature for online marketplace stores. Suppose, in your marketplace store a customer has placed an order containing products from different vendors. Then, split order feature will split that order into multiple orders with different order IDs.
One can split the order or allow split order in Magento store by integrating this split order add-on into their Marketplace stores.
The customer can add different products from multiple sellers to the shopping cart and place the order successfully. After placing the order, the customer will receive a different order ID according to the number of sellers.
Separate order IDs will be generated for every seller. This way the sellers can manage and create the shipments for their own products. Also, the process of refund, return, and exchange will get much simpler because of the separate credit memo.
